**JOB TITLE: SHOE MAKER**

**SALARY**: upto £50,000

**LOCATION**: West End London

**HOURS**: 9am - 6 pm 5 days a week - 40-hour week - Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday

**Business Context**:
If you are interested in bespoke footwear, a fantastic opportunity has arisen. We are currently looking for an Experienced Shoe Maker to work for a highly reputable and established Firm. Our client takes pride in style and aesthetics, and they provide theclients with a sketch of the shoes.

**Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Working within a busy Production Team.
- Making each pair of shoes which are unique and designed to meet the customer's requirement for wooden lasts
- Attention to detail and enjoying making things by hand
- Making insoles and footwear as per customer specifications.
- Standing at a work bench
- Work with hand tools /measuring devices
- Working on roughing machines /band saws /pillar drills
- Making patterns
- Provide support and work together with the senior team
- Carrying out everyday tasks to ensure the smooth running of the business.
- Ensuring that the company image is maintained to a high standard
- Carry out any reasonable unspecified task as may be required by the company

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:

- Experienced in specialised footwear - must have at least 10 - 15 years relevant experience.
- Good with your hands about the handmade orthopaedic footwear trade
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise
- Must be organised
- Independent with initiative and strong motivational skills
- The ability to work unsupervised and proactive in approach
