**Job Role: Ocean Import Coordinator**

**Location: Selby**

**Salary: £27,000 - £30,000**

RG Freight Recruitment are working on behalf of a well known freight forwarder to find an enthusiastic and dedicated **Ocean Import Coordinator** to join the team in **Selby**.

This client is part of a larger independent parent company with significant backing. Operating for over 40 years, they specialise in providing best in class freight and logistics services to UK manufacturers and import/exporters.

The personal touch this client delivers to every customer is what sets them apart from the pack and is something they pride themselves on. With a client base that stretches across a wide range of sectors from sole traders to multi national companies, this forwarder really does give the same service across the board.

**Responsibilities**
- Managing the sea freight consignments in transit through to successful completion and delivery.
- Extensive client liaison, building relationships and maximising the potential of the forwarding business.
- Extensive supplier liaison to develop reliable and cost effective services to every worldwide destination.
- Calculating freight quotations.
- Completing operational administration.
- Raising all of the appropriate documentation.
- Invoicing out and completing the job files.

**The Person**
- A minimum of 2 years’ freight forwarding experience in Sea Freight or Working in an Import Coordination role for a Manufacturer.
- Knowledge and experience of shipping documentation, letters of credit, ATR, EUR’s Confident and clear communication skills.
- Proven success of building customer and supplier relationships.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Numerate with experience of calculating freight quotations.
- Good IT skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
