Payroll and Accounts Assistant

S M Control Engineering based close to the town centre of Walsall is a reputable business carrying out the manufacture of Electrical Control Systems for a variety of different Industries. We have been established in the industry for over 20 years supplying a quality service to existing and new clients. The business has seen continued growth over the last 3 years and has a full order book for the next 12 months. Due to this growth, we are now in a position to employ a Book Keeper to look after the day to day payroll and book keeping activities for the business.
The main responsibilities are as follows:
- Payroll processing using Sage
- Book keeping duties using Sage, where necessary Excel
- Monthly management accounts
- Processing suppliers invoices and making payments
- Processing sales invoices
- Bank reconciliation
You will need to have a minimum of 2 years experience in industry working with Sage software and must be IT literate.
You will need to have the confidence to deal with suppliers and customers and the general day to day queries from employees.
