Bookkeeper - Manchester City Centre

Are you an experienced bookkeeper seeking an opportunity to join a well-established business within the health and social care sector? If so, we would be very keen to hear from you.
- Maintaining an accurate record of financial transactions
- Updating and maintaining the general ledger
- Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
- Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End accounts
- Petty cash management
- Engaging in, and assisting with, council monitoring audits
- Business reporting - for example, collating hours worked per staff member
- Liaising with the external accountant, inputting journals and year end adjustments as directed
- Ad Hoc duties on behalf of the Manager and Director’s instructions

Person Specification
- AAT Level 4, or ACCA/CIMA part qualified
- Proficiency in Sage One and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrable experience as a bookkeeper or accounts assistant
- Confident, effective communicator with a good level of written and spoken English
- Methodical, focused, and organised
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

We're looking for somebody who can follow instructions and work with the management team in developing key reports.

Hours:
Monday to Thursday - 08.30-16.30

Friday - 9am to 3pm

Salary in the region of £24,000

**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year
