Giffords is expanding and we are looking to recruit a Weighbridge Operator/Skip Office Administrator to work at our West Bromwich site. This is an integral role that plays a very real part in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy facility, welcoming internal and external HGVs to load and offload.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:
**Weighbridge**
- Weigh all vehicles in and out of site and record information
- Add new vehicle to the system as necessary
- Manually correct weighbridge tickets as necessary
- Check, sign and file all weighbridge tickets
- Barrier operation ensuring all vehicles are directed to the correct location and follow company procedure
- Report all visitors/contractors to relevant staff when coming through the barrier
- Ensuring all visiting drivers are given the correct health and safety sheet, PPE etc
- Produce monthly reports e.g. Goods In Report, Goods Out Report, Tip Levy Invoices, Non-Packing Reports
- Transfer information to spreadsheets on a weekly basis
- Ensure all mental, cardboard and plastic paperwork is completed at month end
- Produce invoices for metal, cardboard and plastic
- Tracking location of trailers on and off site
- Liaise with drivers and yard staff to determine where to load and off load vehicles
- Deal with all tip levy customers and take payments
- First point of contact for site visitors
- Act as a site liaison between site and internal staff and external customers
- Assess vehicle loads and documentation
- Input vehicle and load data onto company software/spreadsheets
- Direct traffic flow and liaise with site staff to maintain a smooth operation
- On-going development and improvement of systems and processes to maintain a smooth operation

**Skip**
- Chase customers for missing order numbers
- Process skip orders through the OGL Profit Plus system
- Prepare delivery notes for drivers
- Schedule orders and record onto excel spreadsheet
- Update whiteboard with scheduled orders
- Update customer information
- Ensure all monthly standing order skips are exchanged and invoiced at the end of each month
- Update monthly skip log and distribute to Directors at the end of each month
- Ensure payment has been received for proforma invoices before skip exchanges are carried out
- Record information relating to contaminated skips
- Update skip contamination log and distribute to Directors at the end of each month
- Monitor and update Waste Transfer information
- Book in nail, cardboard, polythene and rubbish bin
- Check all orders before invoice run is done and cancel as necessary
- Report any stolen bins to Directors
- Chase orders as and when required
- Chase new customers
- Provide quotes and send all necessary information to prospective customers
- Check all skip delivery notes against schedule to ensure jobs are completed and signed

**General**
- Answer telephone calls
- Retrieve paperwork from out of hours post box and process as necessary
- Turn on the tea machine and ensure that it is filled with water, drinks and cups
- Take readings from Gas Oil, Diesel and Calor Gas and order as necessary
- Produce purchase orders as necessary
- Ensure visitors and contractors books are kept up to date
- Change barrier code on a monthly basis and inform HR
- Any other duties commensurate with the efficiency of the business

Experience/Competencies
- Office administration experience
- Proficient in the use of I.T
- Excellent communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Willing to work independently and within a team

The hours of work will be 36.5 hours Monday to Friday. We offer a Pension Scheme and close down for the Christmas period. Early finish on a Friday at 3p.m
