**Key Responsibilities**:

- Accounts Receivable: Manage and process rental income, ensuring accurate and timely recording of payments.
- Accounts Payable: Processing of invoices and ensuring accurate payments are delivered.
- Arrears Management: Monitor and manage rent arrears, including communication with tenants regarding outstanding payments and implementing strategies for debt recovery.
- Lettings Queries: Handle financial queries from tenants and landlords related to lettings, providing clear and accurate information.
- Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure that all lettings-related transactions are correctly recorded.
- Reporting: Prepare financial reports related to lettings, including arrears reports, rent roll reports, and monthly account statements for landlords.
- Tenant Accounts: Maintain tenant accounts, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including landlord-tenant laws and financial reporting standards.
- Support: Assist the Finance Manager with additional tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the lettings and property management teams to resolve financial issues and improve processes.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Education: A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in an accounts role, preferably within the property management or lettings sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero) is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle disputes and negotiate payment solutions.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
