**The Role**

We are looking to appoint someone who possesses excellent communication and ICT skills. They will be professional, pro-active, calm and composed, providing a friendly welcome to all visitors to the academy.

There are 2 roles available, each for 15 hours per week to cover core hours during term time, plus inset days.

The hours will be:
Role 1: 8:15am - 11:15am Monday - Friday

Role 2: 1:15pm-4:15pm Monday - Friday.

The tasks will be to work alongside our existing receptionist to help cover the reception area and support with general admin tasks. This will include supporting the HR department by maintaining and updating the non-employee database.

**About You**
- Experience of working in an administrative role, preferably in a school environment.
- They will enjoy working both in a team and alone.
- Can work flexibly and be able to prioritise and multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Have experience of working in a busy environment and deal with constantly changing priorities
- They will have strong customer care skills and will be solution orientated.
- They will always have a discreet and diplomatic nature and a respect for confidentiality.
- They will be confident and calm in handling questions and queries and be able to work with repeated interruptions and unexpected requests.
- They will have good attention to detail and will be able to assist with proof-reading of letters and documents.
- Advanced MS Office Skills (word, excel, outlook and OneDrive)
- They will be willing to undertake training to become a qualified first aider and will provide first aid assistance when required.

All new employees will be required to complete a medical questionnaire.

United Learning reserve the right to request further checks for individuals that have ever lived or worked outside the UK. It is an individual’s obligation to meet these requirements by requesting a Certificate of Good Conduct from that country, or those countries, of residence and (for teachers) a Letter of Professional Standing from the professional regulating authority in the country or those countries in which they worked.

All new employees will be required to read and sign the annual Staff Student Relationship letter upon joining the Academy.

All new employees are required to complete three online safeguarding modules prior to starting work.

Evidence of an individual’s right to work in the UK will be checked at interview. Verification of any mandatory professional qualifications and professional status; relevant certificates or a letter of confirmation from the awarding institution must be provided at interview.
