We offer a range of flexible working patterns, such as compressed hours, e.g. 34.5 hours in 4 days instead of 5, flexibility to work earlier or later around our core working hours of 10am-4pm and more options.

**About the role**

**We’re currently looking for a Senior Policy Adviser to join Macmillan’s Policy team. This is an exciting time to join as we deliver an ambitious work plan to improve the lives of people living with cancer.**

You will be responsible for leading our work across one or more policy areas, which are currently health and financial need.

You will use evidence and insight, including from our services and the lived experiences of people living with cancer, to develop solutions that help tackle challenges faced by people living with cancer. You will also engage key stakeholders, such as governments and regulators, to ensure these solutions are successfully implemented.

**About you**
- You will have demonstrable experience of leading influencing projects that have delivered impactful change, either in a policy-related or equivalent role. You will be able to work collaboratively with other teams to develop and deliver strategies and approaches for influencing change that improve the lives of people living with cancer.
- You will be skilled at engaging and influencing different stakeholders, with the ability to communicate in a compelling and persuasive manner.
- We are looking for people who share our passion for embedding Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across policy work. We are especially keen to hear from applicants with lived experience of inequalities or exclusion, or an understanding of how to effectively incorporate a focus on EDI in policy development and influencing strategies.

We are open to this being a home-based role or split between home and our London office. Occasional travel may be required for external meetings or events.
