THE OPPORTUNITY
Working alongside the Department of Health and Social Care my client are currently looking to hire into a new role within their IT Support function.
With a strong team in situ the organisation is currently well underway as they transition into a multisource digital business model in order to enhance their business solutions. As a result they are looking to appoint a new Senior Software Licence and Contract Management Administrator.
**Salary : £35,000 - £42,500**
**Location : Newcastle**
**Hybrid working : Yes, there is a flexible approach to hybrid working however being North East based and comfortable with attending onsite weekly would be beneficial.**
**Working Hours : Monday - Friday**
**Holidays : 27 days (rising with service) + plus bank holidays**
**Additional : Flexi time, car lease system, excellent pension, career development**
THE ROLE
Supporting essential systems for NHS operations, serving both internal and external users. The organization is transitioning to a multi-source digital business model. The team focuses on improving governance, risk, and compliance processes. This includes managing licenses and contracts to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and proactive management of software. Dealing with multi-vendor software licensing issues, monitoring cost adjustments, and ensuring contractual agreements with vendors.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Licences and IT contract administration.
- Managing risk associated with renewals.
- Collaborating with stakeholders
- Contributing to key reports using existing data and standards.
- Ensuring value for money and accurate information.
- Fostering proactive license and contract management.
- Promoting license and contract management.
- Escalating issues to the Head of Governance.
YOUR SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Developing models for clear licensing understanding.
- Proficient in SAM tools like SNOW and ServiceNow.
- Experienced in Software Asset Management.
- Exposure to cloud licensing experience.
- Managing licenses for key vendors.
- Utilizing software vendor profiles.
- Commitment to professional development.

Ideally, you will have worked in a similar role or come from a service management background and will be able to demonstrate:
