The Lead for Colleague Health and Wellbeing is a new and exciting role at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHFT) which is broad and varied in its provision of ensuring that Colleague Health and Wellbeing is given focus and is collaborative in its provision for all staff within the organisation and is working towards our workforce transformation priorities.
The role is being placed as a fixed term / secondment to provide leadership to build on the current provision and within an evolving area of staff support and to work on the sustainability of our health and wellbeing provision. This role is a collaborative role within the cultural improvement journey for the Trust, building relationships and providing clear and visible leadership.
The postholder would be responsible for engaging a wide range of staff in the co-design, communication and embedding of our Colleague Health and Wellbeing strategy in line with GHFTs People &OD Strategy and NHS People Plan. Ensuring that we are fully supportive of the NHS Health and Wellbeing Framework.
The initial requirement is to undertake scoping of needs and provisions, using the NHS Health and Wellbeing framework and strategic overview, working within the NHSE Wellbeing principles, the NHS People Plan and NHS People Promise, and to build relationships for close working for all staff within the Trust. All aspects for Physical, Mental and Emotional, Financial, Professional and Spiritual wellbeing will be included so that we can fully support our workforce and continue our commitment to delivering our vision of the best care for everyone.
The postholder will lead the colleague health and wellbeing provision, working in close working relationships with the 2020 Colleague Wellbeing Hub Manager and team, Staff Psychology Lead, HR colleagues, Head of Education Learning and Development, Head of Leadership and Organisational Development, Lead for EDI and Lead for Freedom to Speak Up, under the direction of the Associate Director of Education, Learning and Culture.
Ensuring collaboration with wellbeing initiatives and offerings throughout the Trust within all specialities including Nursing, AHP, Midwifery and Medical colleagues and all People Services and functions. Working on solutions for themes identified via various lenses into the Trust including the 2020 Hub, Staff Survey, NQPS, listening events, peer supporters, FTSU, focus groups and HR - ensuring sustainability going forward.
Colleague Health and Wellbeing is a service provision for the entire organisation. Working towards our Cultural Improvement Journey and ensuring that colleagues within the Trust are aware of and play their part in ensuring that all aspects of Health and Wellbeing is being given the focus required. The team consists of the 2020 Hub, but the close working relationships and collaborative working includes staff from various teams and services. Closely linked with the EDI, FTSU, Education, Learning and Development, Leadership and OD and HR and P&OD Colleagues.
This is an exciting senior leadership role that comprises of leading, supervising, creating and evaluating a huge and ever-expanding offering of colleague health and wellbeing opportunities.

Job Purpose
The role exists to provide high quality and up-to-date health and wellbeing offerings for all staff within the Trust. This ranges from a needs analysis, the working through the NHS Health and Wellbeing framework and diagnostic tools for the scoping of provision, working with our wellbeing partners, relationship building and being the key contact within the Trust for health and wellbeing plans.
To lead on and support the development and delivery of a Health and Wellbeing strategy/agenda, working with stakeholders to identify opportunities and formulate solutions to implement and develop workstreams and embed these principles.
