**Job Title**: Operational and IT Risk Manager

Oscar Technology are partnered with one of the UK's biggest niche insurers who provide bespoke solutions globally via their leading insurance and health services platform to find their next Operational IT Risk Manager.

As an Operational and IT Risk Manager you will be in **identifying, assessing and managing IT, Transformation and Operational risk**, as a key 2nd lin**e**of defence supporting the 1st lin of defence. The role will involve developing, rolling out, embedding and maintaining the components of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, transformation and operational risks.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the development of, and maintain enterprise wide risk framework with other team members, ensuring it appropriately incorporates IT, business change and operational risks.
- Together with the Head of Risk, advise the CEO and the Board on the IT and operational risk profile of the Company.
- Support the development of the operational risk appetite framework and contribute to the definition and documentation of the annual Risk Appetite Statements
- Oversee the delivery of regular IT, business change and operations risk assessments and prepare documentation related to risk assessments
- Oversee the delivery of regular risk assessments and preparation of all documentation related to IT and operational risk assessments, including the IT, business change and other operational risk registers, Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), processlevel risk assessments (e.g. change, projects, products), regulatory risk and Operational Risk Incident Management & Reporting.
- Responsible for the management of the ERM risk register
- Ensure consistency of the ERM risk register with wider business policies and procedures in the mentioned areas

**Requirements**:

- Experience of working in financial services and / or Non-Life Insurance sector.
- Understanding of enterprise wide risk management, with a focus on IT operational change, 3rd party, digital and regulatory (PRA & FCA) risk.
- Extensive experience of working in IT, transformation and operational risk, in a 2nd Line of Defence capacity.
- Ability to translate the strategic IT, change and operational risk profile into non-financial risk practices that deliver value in a digital business environment
- Recognised risk management qualification, preferably in IT & Cyber Risk Management (e.g CRISC)
- An understanding of CIS20, NIST, ISO 27001/22301 and SOC 2 frameworks
