We are looking for an organised and hard-working professional to join our Accountancy Practice as an Assistant Accountant. DMO Accountants are based on Finedon Road Industrial Estate in Wellingborough. This is an opportunity for an individual looking to progress and develop their career as an accountant - we strongly supports personal development.

**Requirements and Personal Specification**

This role would be best suited to someone who has either previous experience in an accounting/book keeping role and/or someone who has began studying towards their AAT.

Skills and experience required:

- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of Xero and QuickBooks.
- Strong numerical and written skills.
- Great organisational and communications skills (role does involve client contact).
- Strong attention to detail.
- GCSE in Maths and English.
- Enthusiastic, dynamic, team orientated, and confident approach to learning.
- Able to manage workloads with various and continuous deadlines.
- A ‘can do’ attitude with the adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks on the go.
- Double entry knowledge.

**Role Responsibilities**

The main roles listed below;
- Prepare income and expenditure analysis in preparation for VAT Returns and Annual Accounts including Bank Reconciliations.
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing digital copies.
- Interacting with a variety of clients and gaining information needed from those clients.
- Setting up clients on various cloud-based software and tailoring to the clients’ needs.
- Support clients with implementation of online bookkeeping and digital record keeping.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.

**Hours and pay**

We are looking from someone to work a fixed 20 per week. The working hours are negotiable depending on individual circumstance in line with our usual office hours.
