**About the Role**

As Lecturer in Creative Writing, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our undergraduate Creative Writing degree with some contribution to the Masters, contributing to the delivery of our modules on Advanced Fiction, Writing Short Stories, Reading the World and the Business of Writing and The Studio. On the MA, you will contribute to the workshopping and the Manuscript modules. There will also be some personal tutoring and administration roles to undertake.

You will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the department through the activities of one of our Research Units, and to meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework.

**About You**

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in any area of Creative Writing and very good teaching experience on undergraduate r Fiction programmes is essential, with some knowledge of script desirable. A background in English Literature with supporting qualifications and experience would be an advantage.
