Birmingham City Council are seeking to appoint a dynamic and highly skilled Approved Mental Health Professionals for their Local Community Teams.
**Your new role**
As an Approved Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering an effective, efficient and high-quality day time or out of hours service.
You will be an experienced AMHP with extensive knowledge of the Mental Health Act and mental health social work practice. You will hold high practice standards and will role model the values and behaviour expected within the role. You will be confident in supportingrelationships and advocating on behalf of service users and their carers. We are a busy service offering varied and stimulating practice opportunities for AMHP due to our diverse inner-city population and the range of specialist mental health inpatient servicesoffered in our local area. Our service is highly respected by our partner organisations and commended for its timely response to referrals.
**What you'll need to succeed**
Previous direct experience working as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner is essential. You must also have knowledge of key MH legislation, able to produce reports and maintain records. To be successful you will require an Approved Social Work qualification(BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent) be AMHP warranted,. It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 2 years' experience.
