Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services are currently have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join the team at Okehampton Training Camp in Devon.
As the Team Leader you will be responsible for managing a team of operatives dedicated to Estate Management and service delivery. Typical tasks conducted by the team include; cleaning to a set of standards, handover and takeback of accommodation, grounds maintenance and access control.
We are looking for an effective Team Leader to inspire a team to meet and exceed our service delivery standards. Previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or within a rural environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
This role is being offered on a permanent contract, covering 37 hours per week from Monday - Friday.
Main Responsibilities
To lead and coordinate your team as their first line manager and as their main point of contact for task allocations and work checking. Be part of that team as well as their leader; a percentage or your time will be working alongside your team
To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities are fit for purpose in accordance with our contract requirements
Building and camp maintenance to include site maintenance and cleaning of buildings to a set standard
Responsible for maintaining stock levels
Management and operation of plant machinery (training will be provided)
Grounds maintenance within the training camp
Responsible for allocation and handover of accommodation and associated facilities
Ensure that the facilities adhere to safe systems of work and that accommodation, ablutions and associated facilities are fit for allocation
To liaise effectively with all stakeholders across the Estate
To complete all relevant documentation utilising IT and paper based systems
Knowledge of Health & Safety to include; COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work. IOSH Managing Safely certificate (desirable)
Excellent communicator with people on all levels
Knowledge of working in a rural environment
Ability to work proactively in a diverse multi-tasking team environment
Ability to operate hand tools and grounds maintenance equipment and plant machinery (training will be provided)
Demonstrate proven track record of achieving objectives
Competent IT user with excellent administrative skills
Prepared to undertake further training
Must hold a full valid UK driving licence
