**Client Details**

Growing business in Hove with a large procurement department looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team.

**Description**

The key responsibilities of a Purchasing Manager will be;
- Oversee supply chain management, ensuring compliance to all current laws and regulations
- Search and source potential new suppliers and vendors
- Manage new and existing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
- Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, contracts and related documentation
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies
- Manage daily purchases taking into consideration company forecasted supply and demand requirements and market trends
- Liaise with the Sales and Marketing team to facilitate product launches
- Ensure quality standards and specifications are met on all purchases
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets
- Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system
- Communicate and report to executives on key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Work closely with the warehouse and marketing team
- Track, measure and analyse company expenditures, reporting directly to Senior Management
- Line Management of Office and Purchasing Assistant
