**The Role.**

As a Trainee Structures and Buildings Examiner at Modus Rail Ltd, you'll embark on a journey of learning and growth, preparing you for a successful career in rail engineering.

Full training and mentoring will be provided and will include as standard:

- STE4 Structures & STE5 Buildings Examination Technical Qualification.
- Personal Track Safety (PTS)
- Basic Track Awareness and Work Safety Induction (BTA)(WSI)

**Responsibilities**:
Ø Develop and maintain _**Task Briefing Sheets**_, ensuring their relevance upon arrival at the designated rail structure for examination.

Ø Thoroughly assess the suitability of the pre-prepared _**Safe System of Work (SSOW)**_ to ensure its appropriateness before the examination process begins.

Ø Execute examinations in strict accordance with Modus Rail Ltd's established _**Standards and Industry Standard**_, emphasising, and exemplifying safe working practices.

Ø _**Capture accurate**_ and comprehensive photographs during examinations, ensuring their incorporation into detailed reports.

Ø _**Prepare examination reports**_ (detailed or visual) in alignment with the specific format requirements outlined in each contract, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Ø _**Collaborate with Management**_ to contribute insights and assistance in scope of work and management of work banks.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- HNC Civil Engineering or an equivalent vocational qualification.
- Previous experience in construction or structural examination is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written communication, with the ability to effectively convey technical information.
- Exhibit a background that underscores the capacity to thrive in assimilating information quickly, emphasizing a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends, recognizing the essential nature of such flexibility in meeting project demands.

Pay: £20,820.00-£21,500.00 per year
