**Position**:
We seek someone who can analyse the sugar, ethanol and biomass markets to help Cz’s customers manage their price and supply risks, and to build Cz’s decarbonization expertise. Cz will then use this expertise to advise our customers on how to transition to cleaner energy generation/usage and to create products which help them do this.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**

In this role you will become an expert on the global sugar, ethanol and biomass markets using our pre-existing analytical structure. You will share your conclusions with Cz’s customers on Czapp, our online client portal, as well as provide insights for the wider Cz business and marketing campaigns. In time you will fully integrate our sugar, ethanol and biomass analysis so that it can become an _energy transition using cane/beet_ product which we can use to increase interest in Cz’s decarbonization services as well as to drive increased readership for Czapp. This will involve the following:

- Ensure our automated sugar analysis system operates correctly.
- Look for new sugar data sources our team can store; build new analysis from this data.
- Grow Czapp’s subscription business through writing and marketing unique, high-quality articles on the sugar market.
- Expand our ethanol analysis capabilities so that they match our sugar analysis structure.
- Create compelling new ethanol content on Czapp to grow our audience and revenue.
- Advise Cz’s supply chain experts and customers on latest developments in the sugar and ethanol markets.
- Expand our biomass analysis capabilities so that they match our sugar analysis structure.
- Create compelling new biomass content on Czapp to grow our audience and revenue.
- Support our consulting and corporate finance teams fulfil client projects in the sugar, ethanol and biomass space.
- Support our new decarbonization fund launch.
- Integrate our sugar, ethanol and biomass analysis into a service which advises customers on how to transition to low-carbon energy.
- Work with other teams at Czarnikow to ensure we derive maximum benefit from Czapp across the organisation.
- To take responsibility for your performance and to work together to achieve our organizational goals.
- To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.
- To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures.

**Essential**:

- At least 2 years relevant market/price risk management and analysis experience
- Commercial awareness
- Must have an interest in commodities and supply chains
- Excellent communicator - written and spoken
- Business level fluency in English (both written and verbal)
- Strong I.T. skills including proficiency in Excel and Word
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Self-starter with the ability to use initiative for problem solving
- Resourceful, innovative and proactive
- Personable with the ability to build relationships and communicate with all levels both internally and externally

**Desirable**:

- Ability to speak a second language
