Are you an experienced individual who wants to give back to their community? Do you have an interest in Sport? Do you have a few hours available each week to put something back into your local community?

Volunteering Matters are setting up a Sporting Reminiscence group, based in Abertillery Library, aimed at older people, giving them a chance to talk about their sporting memories and sport in general. It would provide a vital social activity and social contact for people who may not otherwise interact much. We are looking for volunteers to help run these sessions. We can organise something near to you in Blaenau Gwent, to make it convenient and easy for you to access. You will have the freedom to manage the activity as you like, but always be supported by Volunteering Matters staff.

A couple of hours a week could make a real difference
