**Job Summary**

Reporting to the Planning& Scheduling Manager, the Technical Planner is responsible for the effective Planning, Routing + Scheduling of Product assembly & Component production, in line with SAP MRP requirements.

**Principle Duties and Responsibilities**
- Planning, Routing and Scheduling of Assemblies + Manufactured components
- Creation of routings based on requirements of Sales Order + Material Masters - incl. Drawing, specifications, heat treatments and engineering instructions.
- Use SAP Planning software to Capacity Plan and Schedule manufacturing Work centres in line with MRP requirements to meet Customer + Production ‘on time delivery’ dates.
- Create and release production orders in line with MRP date requirements
- Daily review of Production Order progress, proactively working to action exception messages and ensure complete on time confirmations
- Working closely with production supervisors develop and communicate production plans that ensure customer commitments are recognised.
- Manage Engineering Change Notifications as relevant to engineered products.
- Manage NCR’s + MRB’s as relevant to engineered products.
- Manage Rectification of non-conforming parts via rework orders, as relevant to engineered products.
- Provide Progress reports to the Sales and Project Teams.
- Monitor status of feeder materials - liaise with Buyer / expeditor where necessary
- Attend and provide technical support during stocktaking.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- A comprehensive understanding of MRP planning and scheduling, preferably using SAP software
- A sound mechanical engineering background - HNC or Higher preferred
- Highly organised with excellent communication and time management skills.

**Education and Experience**
- HNC or Higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
- Similar industry working environment is highly desirable
