Advanced Healthcare Assistant (AHCA)
£16.50 per hour
We are looking for enthusiastic, diligent, fun-loving and motivated women to join our team of Advanced Healthcare Assistants providing 24/7 care for a young lady in Ulverston with multiple complex healthcare needs.
The role requires dedication, empathy and the ability to build positive relationships with the young lady her family and colleagues. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to someone’s life by providing the highest standards of 1:1 clinical, personal, social and emotional care. The young lady lives in her family home in a semi-independent living space. She has many interests including arts and crafts, music, board games, animals and nature. She has a gentle personality and a fabulous sense of humour. You will provide support for all kinds of social activities so a full driving licence is essential.
Experience in healthcare or complex clinical care in a home care setting is preferred, however we provide full specialist in-house training, including an extended shadowing period so no previous care experience is necessary if you are the right person for the job with the right attitude towards training and development. You will be supported during your training period to develop key clinical-care skills to enable you to provide exemplary care, alongside supporting the young lady to make the most of everyday.
41 hours contracted nightshifts across a fixed two-week rota (4 x awake nightshifts), one 24 hr on-call shift per fortnight, the option to pick up floating double-up shifts and other bank shifts.

COVID-19 considerations:
The young lady is extremely clinically vulnerable therefore rigorous Covid-19 precautions are currently adhered to. PPE is provided and must be adhered to, when required, whilst on shift.
