**About Careers & Enterprise**

Enterprise and entrepreneurship is a critical element of the University’s long-term strategy for creating a culture of opportunity for both undergraduates and graduates. The University has a robust information and advice offer for our aspiring student and graduate entrepreneurs and we also have a business incubation facility on campus within Salford Business School. The Careers & Enterprise team in The Library, is a vital partner in delivering these activities and the team currently offer a portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate enterprise development modules. This offer to students is complemented by the extra-curricular provision, aimed at engaging additional students and targeting graduates, particularly those who are unemployed and “underemployed”. Initiatives include the Enterprise Workshops and Start Up School, which, with a strong emphasis on employability provide year-round training to undergraduates and graduates through business specific activities.

**What will the role involve?**

We are seeking an Enterprise Adviser to support the expansion of entrepreneurial programmes both inside and outside of curriculum.

This is a part-time permanent role.

**What’s in it for you?**

**Our community** - there’s a real sense of belonging here at Salford. We value diversity — in backgrounds and in experiences. Our difference makes us stronger, and together we share a passion for improving students’ lives.

**Location and campuses** - Our location sets us apart. We are just 2km from Manchester city centre. Our Peel Park campus is unique and offers lots of green spaces. Our MediaCity campus is at the heart of one of the country's leading digital and media hubs.

With over 200 languages spoken across Greater Manchester, we want to create an inspirational, inclusive learning and working environment, celebrating the diversity of our University community in our everyday conversations. Our student population is already incredibly diverse and we want to ensure this is reflected across our colleague profile as well.
