**Student Support Role - SEND Officer**

**24 hours per week. Term Time plus 5 days (39 Weeks)**

**Grade 8 (SCP 18 - 21). Actual Salary £16,511 - £17,389 per annum.**

Outwood Academy Brumby places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development.

As a SEND Officer you will be extremely well organised, have the ability to plan and prioritise work to ensure that strict deadlines are accurately met. The ability to work on your own initiative and lead by example is essential. You will have a good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Looked after Children guidance.

Experience of working with students with SEND is essential as is the ability to produce strategies and interventions to assist our more vulnerable students achieve their full potential. You will have the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences and promote safeguarding and care of students across the whole community with the skills and knowledge to facilitate small group work with students using agreed academy procedures for marking and assessment of student’s work.
