We are the Third Sector Interface for Perth & Kinross. Our mission is to ensure that all third sector organisations across Perth & Kinross are connected, have a voice, and are supported through capacity building and volunteering.

On behalf of the Scottish Government, we help to sustain and grow the dynamic third sector that exists in the region by representing, leading, coordinating, connecting, supporting, and providing development opportunities to all community groups, charities, social enterprises, and volunteers.

We have been supporting the Third Sector in Perth & Kinross since TSI’s were created by the Scottish Government in 2011; however, there has never been a more exciting time to join us.

**The role**

The Funding Distribution Officer will enable the TSI to deliver against each of our strategic workstreams: Voice, Connect, Build Capacity and Volunteers.

Reporting to the TSI Chief Officer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that robust financial assurance processes are conducted to demonstrate accurate and effective distribution of local authority and government funds to the third sector in Perth & Kinross.

You’ll work effectively with the TSI team to enable funding to be delivered to third sector organisations in line with all funding distribution policies and criteria.

**What you’ll be doing**

**Managing and implementing assurance processes - **you’ll coordinate agreed assurance processes that demonstrate effective control of significant funding and ensure compliance with funding distribution procedures and protocols.

**Facilitate funding panels and forums - **you’ll engage with and manage relationships with a broad range of external stakeholders to ensure compliance with funding agreements. You’ll organise funding panels and forums to ensure that funding is distributed in accordance with recognised procedures.

**Monitoring and reporting -** you’ll create and maintain funding distribution tracking and post-funding distribution reports to ensure accurate distribution and to provide robust audit trails for assurance.

**Liaising and handling communications and correspondence** - you’ll be engaging with a range of stakeholders, responding to, and resolving queries in a timely and consistent way.

- The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with people inside and outside the TSI. Ideally, you’ll have a growing network and strong working relationships across Perth & Kinross at an operational level within the third sector, local communities and with local statutory partners where you are highly respected for your abilities to support and help deliver positive change.
- You’ll be great at bringing together information from a range of sources that will clearly explain the decisions reached through the funding distribution assurance process.
- You love Perth & Kinross and have a real understanding of community needs across the region and how to support them.
- You understand the purpose of the Third Sector Interface and are passionate about supporting the development of a well-established, and dynamic third sector in Perth & Kinross.
- You are super organised; you work at pace and can plan and organise your own and others time to meet regular deadlines and complete varied tasks and projects. You are excellent at taking action and making great things happen.
