**Salary Range**: Up to 25k, Dependent upon experience

**Hours**:Monday to Friday (with some weekend and evening work when required) 35hours per week

**This post requires PVG scheme membership.**

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Community Coach to join our team at Edinburgh South Community Football Club. This key role is to deliver high quality coaching, to lead the creation of new sessions attracting new participants and provide a positive environment for players and volunteers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Delivering coaching sessions in school settings which may involve after school clubs or curriculum time sessions.
- Recruit and develop coaches to work within the ESCFC Player Development

Programme.
- Delivery and coordination of the ESCFC Player Development Programme.
- Design, deliver and evaluate coaching sessions delivered as part of the ESCFC

Community Programme including school holiday courses/camps.
- Promote ESCFC Programmes, design marketing materials, issue materials to relevant

target audience e.g. schools and nurseries.
- Deal with customer booking enquiries, ensuring registers and payments for all

community programmes are updated accurately (when required).
- Working with less experienced coaches to support their professional development.
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other relevant agencies and individuals E.g. Active Schools, Scottish FA, local high and primary schools.
- Continual liaising with other ESCFC officials to ensure consistency throughout the

organisation.
- Willing to contribute to your own continued professional development by attending

organised training courses and researching other appropriate development opportunities.
- Identify grants and related sources of income to maintain and expand Community.
- Coordinating club training and fixture bookings.
- Regularly post and manage our social media accounts.

**General Duties (these are applicable to all Edinburgh South Staff and Volunteers)**
- Read and work in accordance with Edinburgh South Community Football’s Mission, Aims & Objectives, and current Business Plan.
- Manage own work time effectively.
- Keep on top of own paperwork and maintain effective and organised filing systems, as appropriate to the specific job role.
- Treat everyone with consideration and respect.
- Ensure prompt, polite and clear communication (whether responding to a query from a member of staff or a complaint from someone we support).
- Keep up to date and comply with all applicable Edinburgh South Community Football Policy and procedures.
- Promote and respect individual rights and responsibilities at all time.
- Retain the highest standards of confidentiality, as appropriate to the specific role.
- Assist Community coach and other work colleagues as appropriate and whenever possible.
- Be responsible for own work life balance (e.g. taking Annual Leave at regular intervals, etc).

**Education and Qualifications**:
**Essential**:Scottish FA/UEFA Licence holder (UEFA Pro Licence, or UEFA A Licence, or Elite Youth A Licence, or UEFA B Licence, or Scottish FA Advanced Children's Licence).

**Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Proven track record of successfully delivering community coaching programmes and

achieving targets.
- A good knowledge of grassroots football and sports development programmes.
- Experience in working closely with stakeholders in order to obtain grants and funding.
- Experience in working with football clubs and in the third sector.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in a professional environment.
- Computer literate, in particular Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and an ability to be administratively self-sufficient.
- Proven ability to self-motivate and to manage own workload.
- Proven ability to work autonomously to meet targets and deadlines.
- Personality, conduct and credibility that engages and commands confidence and respect whilst representing ESCFC.
- First Aid qualification
- Full driving licence

- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and engage
