London, United Kingdom King's College London Full time

Job Description

About Us

The King’s community is dedicated to the service of society. King’s Strategic Vision 2029 sets out our vision for the future, shaped around five priority areas: educate to inspire and improve; research to inform and innovate; serve to shape and transform; a civic university at the heart of London; and an international community that services the world. Our ambitious Education Strategy sets out the actions that we must take to transform how we teach, how and where our students learn and how we support them during their time with us.

This is an opportunity to join a small, close professional services team supporting inbound and outbound travel through international partnerships in pursuance of the university’s Education and International strategies. The Global Mobility Office is a student and external-facing professional services team of eleven.

About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a proactive and flexible team-player with excellent administration skills and an intercultural sensibility to support our dozens of international partnerships worldwide and the student opportunities resulting from them.

The role-holder will work with various professional services teams to provide guidance, support and direction to staff at King’s and at our partners negotiating, managing and implementing mobility partnership agreements. They will focus particularly on our European partnerships as we transition to new post-Brexit arrangements.

The role combines programme administration, student support and international relationship liaison. Although there are no direct line-report responsibilities, the role-holder is responsible for delegating relevant tasks to Global Mobility Peer Advisors, students returning from mobility who work with the team.

This post will be offered on a temporary contract to the 31st July 2023 in the first instance. There may be an opportunity to extend but this will not be known until nearer the time.

This is a hybrid working role with both work from home and on campus. The role will be based in our department on the Strand campus.

Key responsibilities
- To assist with the planning, administration and delivery of study abroad opportunities through administrative support for partnership agreements.
- To provide administrative support for various Erasmus+ initiatives and requirements at King’s including: Mobility Grants, Online Linguistic Support (OLS), Learning and Traineeship Agreements and staff mobility.
- To support students with their Learning Agreement completion, co-ordinating the process for returning these and troubleshooting and liaising as necessary with partner universities and Study Abroad Tutors as well as their students.
- To support the running of the Global Mobility Office through a range of other administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders, booking rooms, ordering catering, logging Estates & Facilities problems, etc.
- The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post._
