**The Role**

Makefast are looking for a Picking Supervisor who will liaise with the Stores Manager, Planning and Quality departments ensuring the smooth and effective running of the department whilst maintaining the highest quality standards at all times.

**Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to**
- Responsible for liaison with the quality department in the event of non-conforming products.
- Planning the day-to-day workloads for the department.
- Liaising with other department Supervisors
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within picking/stores area.
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy of kitting out sub-components in timely manner
- Agree with Planning team the priority of kitting
- Assist Planning team in expediting kit shortages either internally or externally
- Responsible for accuracy of stock in Kardex storage.
- Agreeing with Planning Team and maintaining adequate stock levels of consumable fittings/fasteners
- Responsible for ensuring staff are adequately trained in picking/kitting procedure and adopt a safe method of work
- Responsible for staff discipline. Undertake perpetual stock audits.
- Ensure cross departmental training is undertaken to provide adequate cover for all aspects of department
- Ability to read drawings and use appropriate measuring/testing equipment to verify quality dimensionally and aesthetically. Be familiar with appropriate ISO standard requirements and internal systems.
- Stop process should quality be unsatisfactory. Prevent despatch of non-conforming products. Refuse delivery of non-conforming raw materials or sub-contracted product.
- Request inspection of suspect non-conforming products either internally or externally supplied
- Develop better working systems in the area
- Be able to work with IT to progress the departments functions.

**Knowledge / Skills / Experience required**

Essential to the job:

- Computer literate.
- Numerate.
- Literate.
- Supervisory Experience
