Bristol, United Kingdom Arup Full time

**Launch your career with Arup**:
Dedicated to sustainable development, Arup is a collective of designers, consultants and experts working globally. Founded to be humane and excellent, we collaborate with our clients and partners using imagination, technology, and rigour to shape a better world.

From your first day you'll join a welcoming community of experts, where everyone is supported in their career and encouraged to work towards an accredited qualification. You'll help us to deliver effective and professional services for a range of varied and high-profile clients.

**Our Level 6 Advanced Apprenticeships**:
Our apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a university, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 6 Advanced Apprenticeships have a typical duration of 3 - 6 years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you'll continue to progress with Arup once you've completed your course.

**What we're looking for**:
We're looking for apprentices that are curious about the built and natural environment and are committed to their personal development. We'll teach you the skills and technical knowledge that you need for a rewarding career in design and professional services, where you'll be part of a collaborative team that delivers excellence for our clients.

**You should be available to start this opportunity no later than September 2023.**

**Environmental Consultancy Apprenticeship**

We're looking for Apprentice Environmental Consultants to join our team in Bristol. From your first day you'll join a community of experts, where everyone is supported in their career path and encouraged to work towards an accredited qualification. You would work alongside and be taught by the environmental and sustainability experts who work on development, infrastructure and environmental enhancement projects in the UK and overseas to support tackling the major challenges of society: transitioning to a net zero economy, tackling the biodiversity crisis, creating thriving and socially beneficial cities and keeping our water, energy and transport utilities functioning. Find out more about what our Environmental Consulting team do here.

You'll help us to deliver environmental and sustainability services for a range of public and private sector clients. We'll give you the chance to develop your technical knowledge, project management, teamwork and communication skills in a professional environment and get the opportunity to see the projects you've been working on come to life.

**Civil Engineering Apprenticeship**

You would be joining our team of technicians in Arup where you would support the technical delivery of projects, where your role could include drawing preparation, visualisations and data analysis. Our studies can vary from large highway projects, rail studies, supporting development masterplans, to undertaking Active Travel investigations.

The purpose of this programme is to produce graduates with the required skills, knowledge and attributes to fulfil the role of Civil Engineer with key skills of project management and the important attributes and behaviours to make them responsible and reflective problem-solvers, critical-thinkers and managers.

For this apprenticeship opportunity we are recruiting into our Structures and Rivers and Coasts teams.

**What we offer you**:
Beyond a great salary and stimulating work, Arup offers a range of additional benefits to its people. As a membership organisation, everyone shares in our success through a global profit share scheme. Our people also have access to a range of broader wellbeing benefits.

You'll have access to lots of learning opportunities including a structured Welcome Programme and ongoing development through Arup University.

Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to utilise your skills to improve the lives of the most vulnerable in the communities in which we live and work through Arup's Community Engagement programme.

**Next steps**:
**Different people, shared values**:
At Arup, we believe when talented people collaborate, great things are possible. Arup hires people with proven skills and open minds. We are taking deliberate action to create an inclusive culture that is grounded in our purpose to shape a better world.

Learn how our Work Unbound initiative is giving all our members greater flexibility in deciding how and where they work.
