**£25,000 - £27,000 per annum dependant on experience**

**37.5 hours per week, we require a flexible approach, working a variety of shift patterns over 7 days including weekends and bank holidays.**

Derian House Children’s Hospice is proud to have been providing high quality care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions for the last 30 years.

We have two vacancies to join our Estate Maintenance Team.
- To support the Head of Facilities in ensuring the excellent day to day running of the Derian House physical environment. To ensure the hospice premises and grounds are maintained to meet the standards set by the Head of Facilities.
- To support the Head of Facilities in the provision of a safe and pleasant environment following specified Environmental, Health & Safety Guidelines and relevant legal requirements.
- To assist the Head of Facilities with the implementation of all maintenance plans for the hospice, gardens, shops and vehicles ensuring that all work is carried out in a planned and timely manner.
- To be responsible for carrying out and accurately recording the completion of PPM inspection/ servicing schedules for equipment and appliances as per the specified annual plan.
- To carry out repairs and maintenance within own level of competence, as appropriate.
- To be responsible for overseeing the work of external contractors ensuring they complete the work as stated and they have a point of contact whilst in the hospice and shops.
- To be responsible for checking the maintenance requests in the hospice on a daily basis ensuring the work requested is prioritised, completed and recorded.
- To support the Head of Facilities & Facilities by assessing the status of reported faulty equipment and remove from use until fit for purpose or decommissioned, notifying the relevant manager.
- To assist in the training, support and supervision of volunteers working within estates and maintenance.
- To utilise the skills of volunteers ensuring they are providing support in a way that is effective and motivational to the individual.
