Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

Dean's independence is important and he is looking for Personal assistant who value's this. Routine and structure is another important factor for Dean. Dean's support entails shopping/banking and household duties as well as encouragement to source and attend social opportunities. Dean is a music fan and love a bit of Daniel O'Donnell he also has a wicked sense of humour and likes people who can give a good laugh

He likes being outdoors, going for long walks (especially on those rare sunny days in Scotland) and just being as generally active as possible. A typical day could be going to the shops to ensure Dean has all the essentials he needs, or even just to have a wander around his local community. In his downtime, Dean enjoys watching movies, playing video games and just having a general blether with friends. Dean receives support 7 days a week usually between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Sadly, it’s not always possible for Dean to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.
