**The role**
We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual with a strong passion for animal care and welfare to join us as a Patient Care Assistant at Catton Branch based in Norwich.

Our Veterinary Care Assistants, known as Patient Care Assistants are an integral part of the team in practice. There will be a variety of duties, such as ensuring the practice maintains high clinical standards throughout, maintaining kennels and the general environment following cleaning protocols, feeding animals, animal handling and behaviour, reporting back to and assisting nurses with patient care and preparing medical equipment and reception duties.

In this role you will receive full support and guidance. You will be working in all areas of the practice learning the core principles of veterinary nursing.

43 hour a week

National minimum wage

**Skills and experience**
Essential requirements
- Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Friendly and personable attitude, with an empathetic approach
- Passionate about the care and welfare of animals
- Full UK driving licence

**It is essential to upload your Maths, English Language and Science certificates, regardless of other qualifications.**
- Alternative qualifications e.g., Veterinary Care Assistant Certificate, Animal Nursing Assistant Award or National Diploma in Animal Care will be accepted when supported with full Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English i.e., Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE at grade C or above.
