We are recruiting for a **Support Worker** on a **temporary basis, until June 2024**, to cover a period of sickness. In this role, you will support 4 gentlemen who share a large home just outside of Dalkeith. The role is for **37.5** hours per week** and involves a variable shift pattern from Monday-Sunday.

The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities, Autism and mental health issues, but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life They enjoy lots of activities, including going to parties, dancing, going out for a cuppa, going to the cinema and theatre, eating out, travelling and football. However, they’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.

The gentlemen we support have 2 pet cats, so it's important that you like cats and are happy to help support the men to care for them.

Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. This can include:

- Supporting them with medication
- Cooking
- Assisting with personal care
- Maintaining the homes of the people we support and managing their finances
