**We currently have the following vacancy at Longspee Secondary Academy (Ensbury Avenue, Bournemouth, BH10 4HG): Assistant Vice Principal**

In support of ongoing excellence, Longspee Secondary are seeking to appoint an inspirational and high-quality Teacher and Leader who is looking for an exciting, fast-paced and rewarding role, focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.

Longspee Secondary Academy is a specialist provision for students aged 11-16 with Autism, SEMH and complex needs, and we work together as a community to ensure that our students make Happy, Safe and Progress on their journey to adulthood.

The key responsibilities of the role will be as a high-quality model of Teaching and Learning (ideally with a KS4 specialism in Maths), alongside the Leadership of our Core Curriculum, and Quality of Education - in partnership with other Senior Leaders.
- An outstanding classroom practitioner who can demonstrate outstanding outcomes for children with special education needs, either in specialist or mainstream settings
- An experienced middle or senior leader with a track record of making an impact on whole school outcomes
- An expert in the field of inclusion who demonstrates this when working with pupils both in the classroom and around the school
- An excellent communicator with a shared collaborative vision for our school
- A supportive line manager to colleagues, with expertise in delivering whole school training in key area
- A proactive thinker and dynamic problem solver, who can work independently and as part of the team
- Flexible, with a ‘can-do’ attitude towards the shared responsibilities of the Leadership Team
- Committed to continued professional development with an aspiration for ongoing excellence
