Heath Electrical Services is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Stock Controller to join our team. As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, ensuring accurate stock levels, and coordinating stock movements within the organization. You will play a vital role in maintaining efficient stock control procedures and optimizing inventory accuracy to support our operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels in warehouses, stores, or distribution centres.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and quality standards.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Identify and investigate stock discrepancies or variances and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate stock movements, including transfers, allocations, and reordering, to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to forecast stock needs and coordinate replenishment orders.
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory management systems or software.
- Analyse stock movement patterns, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and recommend actions to reduce stock holding and minimize losses.
- Implement and maintain stock control procedures, including proper storage, handling, and labelling of goods.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in relation to stock management activities.
- Monitor and analyse stock performance metrics, such as stock turnover, fill rates, and stock accuracy, and generate reports for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, finance, and operations, to optimize stock control processes.
- Provide support during stock audits and assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in stock control and inventory management.

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Controller, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of stock control principles, inventory management practices, and supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software or systems.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to perform accurate stock counts and reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to stock management.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with stock control in the retail or distribution industry is preferred.
- A degree or certification in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
