Job Title: Materials Planner
**Salary**: From £21,000 to £23,000 depending on experience
Location: Heathfield, Newton Abbot
Our client is a local drinks manufacturer currently experiencing rapid growth, and seeking a talented, organised individual to support the Supply Chain Manager in planning and scheduling production. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is highly motivated, methodical and has experience in stock management and food manufacturing.
An integral part of the production process, the Materials Planner is responsible for the optimisation of raw material flow through ensuring the full availability of materials to meet production demands and therefore guaranteeing on-time delivery.
As a Materials Planner, your responsibilities include:
- Monitor inbound materials in line with production requirements and customer specifications
- Review production plans and ensure sufficient materials are available to meet the schedule
- Review stock holding at warehouses
- Creating and reviewing monthly reports of outdated / slow moving materials
- Investigating any material discrepancies
- Purchasing and managing onsite stock in line with agreed levels
- Creating of BOM's
Essential skills required include:
- Food manufacturing experience
- Computer literate - proficient use of Microsoft Excel is vital
- Excellent communication skills
- Methodical and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure with a positive attitude
