ACS Investment Holdings is a new group structure which supports a group of existing sister companies, whose specialisms involve healthcare and housing. We are committed to quality and growth. As the scope of these companies continues to grow, we are seeking a Bookkeeper and Admin Assistant to support and progress our financial systems and processes, as well as the administrative functions to uphold business operations.

**About the role**

ACS Investment Holdings is excited to welcome a new Bookkeeper and Admin Assistant to its growing Team.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance and financial health of ACS Investment Holdings and its sister companies. You will be responsible for the provision and coordination of accurate and timely financial management information and advice to all levels of the organisation and its sister companies.

The post-holder will primarily support financial strategy and must work collaboratively with the director to conduct crucial business planning.

**Key Capabilities**
- **Bookkeeping and Record Keeping**: You will maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers and journals
- **VAT and PAYE**:You will ensure the accurate and timely submissions of VAT and PAYE returns to HMRC. You will prepare monthly Payroll and submission to HMRC.
- **Managing Pensions**:You will deal with pension deductions and submit to pension company.
- **Management Accounts**: You will enhance strategic decision-making by providing accurate analysis of financial performance, preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- **Year-End Accounts**: You will take the lead on preparing end-of-year financial statements, collaborating with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process. You will ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
- **Cash Flow Management**: You will monitor cash flow across all sister companies, and develop strategies to optimise working capital, manage liquidity, and mitigate financial risks.
- **Process Improvement**:You will remain vigilant to opportunities for improving and streamlining financial processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring best financial practices across companies.
- **Administrative Assistance**:You will provide corporate administrative support, ensuring smooth operational processes for colleagues and stakeholders.

**Person Specification**

You will be a strategic and detail-oriented thinker with a thorough understanding of financial principles. You will have a demonstrable record of effective and accurate bookkeeping.

You will be a hardworking individual with great communication skills and an eye for detail. You will be capable of utilising systems which support the finances and accounts across the companies.

You will be a team player who is flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of a fast-paced business. You will be experienced in carrying out administrative office tasks, and able to communicate effectively with colleagues both verbally and in written correspondence.

**QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION**

**Essential**
- AAT Level 4+ (or equivalent)

**Desirable**
- 3 x AS or A2 level qualifications at A-C grade including English, Maths and ICT (or equivalent)
- Relevant degree

**EXPERIENCE/SKILL**

**Essential**
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and taxation
- Proficiency in **Xero **(other financial software and tools desirable)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to action complex financial data into useful insights
- Ability to work collaboratively with a results-oriented approach
- Effective communication and skills
- High level of integrity, attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced and changing business environment

**Desirable**
- 5+ years bookkeeping experience
- Experience/knowledge of healthcare and/or housing sectors
- Driving licence and use of own car

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
