**FINANCE MANAGER**
**Hampshire Recruitment Services**are delighted to represent a well established fast-growing International, very profitable, product & distribution company who are looking for a Finance Manager to run the business finance function for UK &Asia.
This role would suit a Qualified, Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant who has taken control of an SME's finance function.
**Salary**: £40,000-£45,000
**Location**: Petersfield

**Position Concept**:
Overall responsibility for the Business’ finance function in this SME, reporting to Directors & complying with HMRC.

**Main Duties of Job**

**Responsibilities / Accountabilities**:

- Reporting management figures (profit & loss / balance sheet)
- Preparation of year end accounts for external audit
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Cashflow forecasting
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Bank reconciliations and transfers
- Customs and Excise - VAT returns
- Payroll and associated Tax and National Insurance contributions
- Record and monitor sickness (absences and payments) and holiday allowances
- Personnel benefits - Administrator of Pension schemes
- P11D completion & submission
- Renewal and review of Insurance Policies
- Credit Control and litigation where necessary
- Staff expenses payment and analysis
- Monitoring FOREX rates and dealing with Forex brokers
- Quarterly CAPEX and other returns to National Statistics Office
- Authorise and transmit all supplier payments
- Arrange currency / travellers’ cheques for overseas travel by management
- Supervision and support of Accounts Assistant
- Financial Analysis of Bills of Materials and of ongoing trading
- Ad Hoc enquiries

**Key Performance Indicators**:
**Objectives**
- To complete the management figures within 30 days from month end
- Payroll to be completed 3 days before payment date.
- Complete pension and HMRC reporting & payments on time.
- Bank reconciliations at least every week.
- Cashflow updated at least every week.
- To liaise with relevant department in order to compile an overhead budget for each year.
- Ensure Finance assistant meets targets and objectives

**Processes**
- To be able to meet deadlines both internally or externally.
- Accurate and timely management accounts

**Coaching**
- Assists the accounts assistant to develop their own abilities with a view to future job performance

**Qualifications / Experience**:

- Typical minimum education & experience:

- Fully qualified CCAB or qualified by experience

**Essential Skills**:

- Intermediate Excel Skills
- Microsoft Office
- Experience of using MRP/Accounts software (Sage, SAP, xVP etc.)

**Desirable Skills**:

- Good collaborator, investigative, hands-on approach, willing to develop and learn.
- Small company experience.

**Personal Qualities**:

- Respect confidentiality in all matters.
- Respect requirements of Data Protection Act 2018 (EU: GDPR)
- Good communicator; striving for best practice in all areas; accurate attention to detail.

**Liaisons**:

- Inter-organisational and occasional outside customer contacts.
- Will work with other entities as required.
- Will travel occasionally for training.
