**Family Liaison Officer**

**Start date**: September or October 2023

**Contract type**: Permanent, part time (37 hours per week / 39 weeks per year)

**Salary**: NJC Scale 4, SP 7 - 11 (FTE £24,293 - £25,979 / Actual £20,778 - £22,220.88 per annum)

This is an exciting time to join our journey of improvement and play a key part in transforming the lives of our young people.
- work with the Attendance Officer on analysing attendance and puntuality trends
- liaise with the Student Support Team and Heads of House in exploring factors which may be impacting on a pupil's attendance
- meet with pupils and parents to establish the reasons for non-attendance or poor punctuality and agree a plan to tackle the issues
- establish rapport and build respectful, honest, challenging and supportive relationships with pupils and their families
- provide advice and guidance to parents and carers and signpost families to sources of advice and guidance within the local community
- carry out home visits, where required.
