We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Buying Assistant to join our team.

**Job Type**: Zero-hours contract

**Responsibilities**:

- Data Management: Manage and accurately enter data into our in-house systems to maintain up-to-date records of inventory, orders, and suppliers.
- Stock Monitoring: Monitor stock levels regularly and proactively identify purchasing needs based on demand forecasts and sales trends.
- Database Maintenance: Update internal databases with order details promptly and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all information.
- Supplier Communication: Follow up with suppliers as necessary to confirm orders, make changes, or resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Collaboration with Warehouse: Liaise with warehouse staff to coordinate the receipt of products, ensuring that all items are received in good condition and are ready for sale.

**Requirements**:

- Purchasing Experience: Proven experience in a purchasing role within an ecommerce retail business, demonstrating a strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain dynamics.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
- ERP and WMS Proficiency: Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is required to efficiently manage data and streamline purchasing operations.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with suppliers, negotiating terms, resolving issues, and building strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
