VideoWeek covers the video and TV advertising industry during an exceptionally exciting period of disruption, controversy and upheaval.

Think Netflix vs Disney, Google vs Facebook, privacy issues in advertising and how online newspapers are encountering serious competition from social platforms.

We are looking for an outstanding journalist to join our team in London with a view to taking the publication to the next level as we expand. The role will be mostly feature writing but with some news and branded content.
- Have at least two years in a staff role writing news and features, ideally for a B2B publication and even better if you have media or advertising experience.
- Have the ability to break fresh news stories but also be able to turn your hand to feature writing.
- We organise events and our journalists often moderate panel discussions etc. No problem at all if you haven't done it before or the thought of it makes you nervous as you'd have plenty of support and it's something we all learn to enjoy with practice.
- Be flexible about having to occasionally travel internationally to cover events or to take part in our own.
- Be a self-starter with a track record of self-learning and generating fresh ideas.
- Have a genuine passion for the media industry, the role it plays in our democracy and the future of the internet.
- Have a strong sense of journalism ethics and have a strong sense of ethical backbone generally.
- Be fun, friendly and easy to work with.
- Be willing to pitch in on everything from research right through to our events. We are a small company and you would have exposure to most parts of the business.
- Additional 'nice to have but not essential' advantages include experience with video presenting/interviewing, video editing, photo editing, Wordpress, additional languages and creating newsletters.
