With already ground-breaking technologies in the market and several Electric Drive Unit (EDU) approaching production in the coming years JLR is yet committed to lead the future of electrification with more powerful, robust, efficient and reliable EDUs designed and manufactured inhouse.

At the core of this transformation, the EDU Integration team is responsible for the delivery of the in-house manufactured Electric Drive Units assembly, ensuring it meets the technical and legal requirements to deliver an experience that our customers will love.

Sitting within the EDU Integration team, the EDU Engineering Quality Lead is responsible for ensuring that **quality drives the design** by fostering a robust Design for Failure Mode and Effect Avoidance (DFMEA) and Design Review by Failure Mode (DRBFM) strategy across the EDU integration and sub-systems teams. The Engineer will be responsible managing the entire EDU deck of standards ensuring a clear and coherent link between the EDU engineering standards and the DFMEA, DRBFM, Technical compliance plans and Design Verification Plan (DVP). Furthermore, EDU Engineering Quality Lead will be responsible for running and managing the prevent recurrence process to ensure a robust closure of all engineering quality issues.

**Key Accountabilities** and **Responsibilities**
- Core EDU standard deck management
- Maintain the EDU deck of standard updated and linked to DFMEA, DRBFM and Legal requirements, ensuring correct cascade and gateway assignation.
- Assist component and lead engineers in the process of creating and releasing new standards.
- Foster good practices for standard creation and release across the EDU teams.
- Support quality history reviews.
- Programme specific deck of standards.
- Support programme specific deck of standard creation ensuring correct cascade and gateway assignation.
- Lead Technical Compliance Plan creation.
- Support Design Verification Plan creation.
- Support of internal and external audits.
- Run risk assessment and risk mitigation events.
- Prevent Recurrence
- Run EDU level prevent recurrence process ensuring all the commodities / parties involve adhere to process and timing.

**What you’ll need**

Essential:

- Experience creating and managing DFMEA (ideally at a system or sub-system level).
- Significant experience in requirement decomposition and technical compliance plan creation.
- Good understanding of electric drive unit integration and assembly.
- Experience with requirements management tools (ideally working knowledge in Traceable Requirements Management (TRM) and Xray)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with influencing and engagement skills.
- Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

Desirable:

- Experience creating / running Design Verification Plans.
- Experience in developing EV driveline systems.
- Proficient use of the software: ReliaSoft, TRM and Xray.
- Familiarity with the software: RMDV or DOORS
- Experience of Agile project delivery
