**About the Role**

**Are you a qualified Resus Council ALS Instructor looking for a change? Do you want to work in forensic healthcare, an area which makes a remarkable, positive and life-long difference to people’s lives?**

**The post-holder will have a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in an acute medical background (such as A&E, intensive care, or as a paramedic) and previous leadership experience.**

**The Clinical Lead / Resuscitation Officer will support the Head of Healthcare with providing effective leadership, management, and operational support across their region and deliver ILS training to staff.**

**Job Opportunity**

**This is an exciting alternative career option open to RGN's and qualified Paramedics with 3+ years' post qualification experience, who hold the RCUK qualification of ALS instructor.**

**As a Clinical Lead / Resuscitation Officer, you will work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner (no previous experience of forensics will be required).**

**Main Responsibilities of the Clinical Lead / Resuscitation Officer**:

- ** Delivering ILS training to staff.**:

- ** Providing line management including supervision, appraisal, managing poor performance, and identifying CPD strategies.**:

- ** Forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods).**:

- ** Signposting and conducting referrals; offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending.**:

- ** Delivering substance misuse therapies.**:

- ** Assessment and care of detainees and staff in custody suites.**:

- ** Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs.**

**Essential Skills**
- ** Nurse or paramedic, 3 years post qualification.**:
