Within HMRC’s Chief Digital & Information Group (CDIO), specifically in the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) team we are transforming and growing a team of outstanding people to enhance its HMRC Cloud Centre of Excellence offering.

We are already a diverse team of 80+ individuals, creating a dynamic and inclusive working environment whose skills cover Architecture, Development, Service Design, Operation and Governance.

**Job description**:
This is an exciting and challenging role where you will create, own and manage the operational relationships with HMRCs Enterprise Cloud Service Providers and the associated supporting supplier network.

You will provide Supplier Governance across both Cloud and Hybrid Cloud, have a close understanding of business drivers, and foster strong relationships with these suppliers.

you will work closely with commercial, strategic business partners, finance, security, service level management, delivery areas, major programmes, service owners, and various suppliers to manage all aspects of supplier contracts, from selection and the on boarding of new suppliers, to the provision of timely and accurate reporting of supplier performance.

**Person specification**:
You will be required to:

- Create and govern a single view of multi contract supplier performance across ECS.
- Promote the interests of HMRC, CDIO and ECS and have a close understanding of business drivers, fostering strong relationships across ECS and our Suppliers.
- Work with the Supplier Managers, lead on the adherence of contracts, relationship, risk, issues, continual improvements and performance for Suppliers with multiple contracts.
- Work closely with commercial, strategic business partners, finance, security, service level management, delivery areas, major programmes, service owners, and various suppliers to provision timely and accurate reporting of supplier performance, and ensure operational alignment between HMRC and Suppliers.
- Input or creation of Statements of Work and Commercial Commissioning Requests, and support of commercial SSRM activities for Strategic Suppliers.
- Drive continual improvement.
- Support the business area and commercial with the renewal, extensions, new procurements, and contract exit.
- Understand and address internal ECS and external CDIO customer needs in respect of the service they require and receive from their suppliers.

**Essential Criteria**

You will already have knowledge and experience of:

- Managing a range of supplier contracts in a multi supplier IT environment.
- Aligning the organisation’s supplier performance objectives and activities with sourcing strategies and plans, balancing costs, efficiencies and service quality.
- Manage suppliers to meet key performance indicators and agreed targets.
- Manages implementation of supplier service improvement actions.
- Identifies constraints and opportunities when negotiating or renegotiating contracts.
- Experience of working in a Cloud/Hybrid Cloud environment with a good understanding of Cloud and Hybrid Cloud principles.

**Qualifications**:

- ITIL foundation (or willing to work towards)
- AGILE Fundamental (or willing to work towards)
- Government commercial college - Contract Management Foundation (or willing to work towards)
- Government commercial college - Contract Management Practitioner / Expert (or willing to work towards)

**Desirable Criteria**

Ideally you will also have experience of:

- Influencing stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit.
- Translating communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables
- Facilitation of open communication and discussion between stakeholders.
- Facilitating business decision-making processes.
- Capturing and disseminating technical and business information.
