**Position**:Carer Advisor (3 vacancies)

**Working hours **3 full-time roles available. (Open to discussing part-time contracts)
To support carers who may struggle to access services during standard office hours and improve outreach, we are currently working towards extending our Carer Adviceline opening hours on one day per week which may require postholders to work some non-standard hours, and some supported work within community settings.

**Salary** £24,500 - £29,000 pro rata (New staff start at the bottom of the grade)

**Employer’s contribution** **to pension** A package supporting staff financial well-being of 3% plus an additional staff benefit of 3.5% which reduces staff required contribution.

**Office environment and space** We are a small friendly organisation based in an attractive, light and airy air-conditioned city centre office space, with spacious staff room / kitchen. Handy for supermarkets, shops and public transport. Secure bike parking and showers. Some onsite parking for cars is available on a rota basis.

**A flexi working policy** We offer both flexible and hybrid working, with an expectation of a minimum of 2 days per week spent in the office, on successful completion of probation. All staff work on Thursdays.

**Health Care Cash Plan** Westfield’s Health Care Cash plan level 2

**Annual leave** A generous package of 24 days plus 3 days (to be taken between Christmas and New Year, due to office closure) plus 8 bank holidays pro rata. Following 5 years continuous service, staff are awarded an additional 5 days’ leave pro rata.

**The role**

Carer Advisors are an integral part of our Assessment and Advice Service, with responsibility for delivering high quality advice, information, and support to carers over the telephone and face to face. New starters will receive a comprehensive induction programme which will enable them to carry out detailed assessments of carers, including statutory Carers Assessments.

It is part of a vibrant voluntary sector, and a member of the national Carers Trust network. We currently employ 21 staff and around 30 volunteers.
