**Hours**:Full-time, 37** **hours per week, includes one weekend in four weekend duty cover

**About the role**

The Communications, Insight and Engagement team provide both internal and external communications support to the council. We promote and explain our services and we consult and engage on changes to services, many of which are sensitive and complex.

You will be a Business Partner supporting our Place and Communities teams and Corporate Services with all their communication needs. These services include highways, planning, waste and regeneration. You will be the key interface between these services and the Communications team, you’ll understand their priorities, negotiate and agree the work plan and provide strategic advice and support, particularly on high profile projects or issues.

You will be a self-motivated and talented communications manager; you will lead a small team producing high-quality content that engages customers and builds awareness and trust.

As well as being an experienced communications professional you will need excellent relationship management, interpersonal and line management skills. You will also be prepared to switch priorities when needed and get involved in the delivery when required.
