Qualified Nursery Practitioner, £11 to £13ph

We’re looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join the team at our small, Outstanding nursery in Lewes.

The salary for this position is £11 to £13ph and you’ll join an established but welcoming team of teachers, practitioners and our own bank staff.

You will have opportunity to train and progress as we like to promote from within.

The nursery is calm and smaller than you might be used to in the big chains. There is a craft room, an outdoor classroom a playground, and a nature field across the road for Forest School - so lots of variety. The children also go out on trips into the local town.

We have a car park on site, there are good public transport links and the nursery is based in a pretty flint school house, near the high street. We are closed on bank holidays and in the week between Christmas and New Year.

**Responsibilities**:

- To get to know the children and their families. (You’ll develop a strong bond with children and parents and become an important part of their family life.)
- To help the children learn new skills and independence.
- To plan the children’s activities. Our paperwork is kept to a minimum so you can spend time with the children.
- Level 3 Childcare qualification or above. (Level 2s who would like to train are welcome to apply).
- Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- You’ll need to be articulate and confident. You’ll be a Key Person capable of developing a partnership with parents.
