Charlton Lane Hospital is a 3 ward, 48 bed Acute Mental Health Hospital situated in Cheltenham and provides Older Aged Adults inpatient services for the county of Gloucestershire.

Service Users are supported by a variety of healthcare workers including Nurses, Doctors and Allied Health Professionals including Psychologists, Physio and Occupational Therapists.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic part time Receptionist to join our administration team. The post is part time working 17 hours each week on weekday shifts on a Monday and Tuesday and includes some evening shifts until 8pm.

The post holder must be able and willing to work in a busy environment where priorities change on a daily basis, have excellent interpersonal skills and willing to embrace change. Although primarily based in Charlton Lane the post holder may, on occasions, be required to work across other sites as the needs of the service dictate.
- To provide reception, clerical and administration duties, maintaining an efficient and friendly service to patients, relatives and visitors
- To liaise with staff in Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (as required) and external providers
- Support the manager and the administrative team in the administrative function as required
- To project the professional image of the business through demonstrating excellent customer care in all activities
- The receptionist is responsible for taking all incoming calls into the building
- The receptionist provides support to a variety of members of staff (both clinical and non-clinical) working within the base

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.

A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential. For qualifying staff the Trust has a Lease Car Scheme in place and also offers a popular Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme with our partner Tusker.
