**About the Job**

The White House Kids Club are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and fun individuals to join our team as a Holiday Club Assistant.

**Position**: Children's Holiday Club Assistant

**Location**: White House Kids Club, Spondon

**Hours**: 30-40 hours per week. Working hours will be on a shift basis between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday. This will be outside of school term time only.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in planning and delivering a wide range of engaging and age-appropriate activities for children, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational projects.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, maintaining a secure and nurturing environment.
- Encourage participation and foster positive relationships among children, promoting teamwork, cooperation, and mutual respect.
- Provide guidance and support to children, addressing their individual needs and promoting personal development.
- Assist with daily administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, registration, and maintaining a tidy and organised club environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and contribute to the overall success of the holiday club.

**Requirements**:

- Applicants must be at least 17 years of age
- Applicants must be willing to obtain a valid DBS
- Passion for working with children and a genuine interest in their well-being and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Previous experience working with children aged 5-14 is desirable but not essential.
- A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach, with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and ensure a safe environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive club atmosphere.
- First Aid certification (desirable but not essential).
