An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Practitioner to join our friendly, multi-disciplinary, multi-site Point of Care Testing Team, supporting the Biomedical Scientists in the team. If you want to expand your knowledge and understand how the Point of Care Team work outside the laboratory environment, helping the staff working closer to patients
- this could be the job for you. We are looking for a keen, dynamic, forward thinking individual prepared to work shifts to help us deliver the services we undertake.

Please note - this role does not require professional registration and is not a Biomedical Scientist position.

Main duties of the job

To support the Point of Care Team in maintaining and quality assuring medical devices used to test patient samples at the point of care, according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To maintain POCT data bases of staff training, test and quality data to enable production of reports for distribution.

- Knowledge of physiology, human biology or Biomedical Sciences to Foundation Degree level or equivalent.Experience
