- You’ll ensure that the business has the best technical operational procedures that meet industry and client standards.
- The management of the technical audit programme across the business will be something that you take full responsibility for.
- You will oversee and ensure that your team deliver a dynamic Engineer audit programme across the business and you will produce and publish relevant management information and trend analysis to the business at regular intervals.
- Throughout the year you’ll prepare the business and take the lead for all external technical audits.
- You’ll understand, measure and monitor technical compliance across the business, ensuring high standards are maintained and deliver quick improvements when something isn’t up to standard.
- You and your team will conduct and lead technical incident investigations to identify the immediate and underlying root causes. As a follow-on from this you will implement corrective actions and preventative measures as required.
- When required you will produce and communicate toolbox talks and safety bulletins to the business, ensuring these are topical and follow industry best practice.
- You’ll proactively lead and develop a national team of Technical Quality Coaches ensuring that they achieve monthly and annual targets you have set them.
- Our clients will expect you to be available when needed as you’ll be the first point of contact from a compliance and technical aspect. As part of your interaction with clients you’ll attend online and face to face meetings with them as required and during these meetings you’ll present relevant safety and compliance performance updates to them.
- Data is your thing; you’ll analyse data and use it to make the right decisions to drive safety and compliance performance for the business.
- You’ll need to be pragmatic and support field operations to find safe and compliant solutions to ensure the success of the business.
- Each day you’ll work very closely with your Technical Quality Coaches to ensure all audits are completed to target.
- You’ll want to be proud of your team and using your extensive experience and expertise you’ll spend time coaching and developing your team to be the best they can be. When they need support, you’ll be on hand to provide it.
- Sometimes people in your team will do something wrong that will need investigating and potential formal disciplinary action. Working with HR you’ll manage this from start to finish with the aim of achieving a fair outcome for all parties involved.
- Every three months you will sit down with your TQCs to review their performance so they know what they are doing well at and what they need to focus on to develop.
- You’ll hold regular video calls and face to face meetings with your team.
- As the Head of Compliance, you’ll build relationships with your counterparts at our clients and have regular interaction with them. Our clients are vital to our success as a business, without them we don’t have a business therefore it’s crucial that your team delivers well for them and when you have issues you will take responsibility to put them right immediately.
- As a senior leader within the business, you’ll not be afraid to lead by example. Each day will be different and you’ll need to be both proactive and reactive to make a success of it. You’ll jump in to help your team when they are struggling and you’ll find solutions to problems. As the leader of your department you’ll need to ensure that your team is working constructively and effectively with field operations and other business departments. As a senior manager you’ll also be a point of escalation for clients.
- As you are a people person, you’ll want to spend time with your team and the other support departments on a regular basis. You will be approachable and when people need your help and expertise you’ll be there to help and support them. You’ll understand how to get the best out of everyone in the business so that the business succeeds.

This job isn’t an 8am-5pm type job, you’ll need to be flexible and available for your team when they need you.
